It is great for catching live music from local bands and DJs, as well as seeing different types of art work. If you ever want to introduce your ears and eyes to new sensations, make your way to Thirtynine Hotel. After walking up the creaky stairs of Thirthynine Hotel, you will be immersed into an array of hypnotizing music, and see interesting fashion shows or art displays.  The outdoor patio is also great for mingling with friends, dates and meeting new people.

A leading Venue for music, Next Door is a dimly lit  but very open area for many to gather for live band performances and DJ music. It is also a great place to come for dancing and cinema.  If you are ever bored and in need some excitement, head down to Next Door and be drawn into the intoxicating energy.  The atmosphere inside Next Door is loud, and the crowd is always buzzing.  There is not much furniture in the building, but the ceilings are high and the space is wide, so many simply enjoy the music and dance the night away.

College Dating: Dos and Don'ts on Your First College Date

College is a time to be free, experience new things and meet new people.  Dating is always a hot subject on college campuses.  As students meet new people and form new friendships at an impossibly fast rate, going on a first date and experiencing companionship is bound to happen.  Some students are naturals on dates, they know exactly what to do and can have the perfect date with ease.  However, there are some students who feel awkward and uncomfortable with even the mention of dating.  Here are some tips that can help ease the process of going through your first college date.

DO SMILE AND ENJOY YOURSELF

Going into your first date with a smile and positive attitude is always attractive and desirable.  A first date is simply a time for two people to get to know each other and have a good time.  Though college presents many new stresses that are constantly on the minds of all college students, as long as you focus on simply enjoying the date and smiling to show your enjoyment, the other person is likely to feel more comfortable around you and going on future dates with you.

DON'T TEXT
A big turn off for anyone going on a first date is to have their partner constantly reaching for and checking their phone.  It creates an obvious distraction and takes away from the mood.  College students always want to keep in touch with their friends, but on a first date your partner wants to converse and get to know you better, not watch you text.  Texting on a first date will give your partner the impression that the date is less important to you than whoever or whatever is on the other side of the line.  Limit distractions and focus on your date.

DO HAVE GOOD HYGIENE
Good hygiene is always important, but it is especially important on a first date.  Now that you are in college and your parents aren't on your case all the time, your attention to personal hygiene may go down.  However, the way you present yourself on your first date is likely to leave a lasting impression on your partner.  Going to a first date looking unclean will be an obvious distraction for your partner and will automatically take away from your natural appeal. Your partner will be given the impression that to you are a sloppy, uncaring and unsanitary person.  This will put you in a bad light with your date.

DON'T BE EASY
A first date is not a one-night stand.  Being "easy" will not make you seem more attractive to your partner.  In fact, he or she will actually be turned off by this, and end up not taking you nor the date seriously.  Your partner has asked you out on a first date to get to know you better and to develop a possible relationship.  He or she did not get dressed up and take you out simply to have sex with you. Word always spreads fast on college campuses, and if you're known to be "easy" on first dates, soon no one on campus will take you seriously.  You will end up hurting yourself instead of helping your chances at getting a good first date.

DO BE YOURSELF
Being honest, and true to who you are is the most important thing you can do on your first date.  There is nothing more important to your partner than learning more about the real you on your first date.  Many college students will try to make up facts about themselves to seem "cooler" to their dates.  However, trying to be someone or something that you are not is simply going to give your partner the wrong impression of you.  Your first date will set the foundation for the future of your relationship with your partner.  It is always better to start off a relationship with your partner knowing and accepting you for who you really are, than having him or her liking and accepting you for something you are not.  Being true to who you are will set your relationship on a good note.
